Placenta previa.
Placenta previa is not an uncommon finding at the second-trimester anatomy scan. In fact, it may be seen in as many as 1 in 3 pregnancies. I was diagnosed with placenta previa with my second pregnancy, and I was discouraged by the lack of information available to patients who wanted to know more about this condition. Fortunately, studies have shown placenta previa typically resolves on its own, and, with the exception of a small number of cases, does not require a caesarean delivery. I made this brochure for people hoping to learn more about the likelihood of a placenta previa diagnosis persisting until delivery.
